Eden Genesis Resume

Nathan Robert Kleven

Student Developer (Age 12) · Local-first web apps · Azure Static Web Apps

I design, build, and ship beginner-friendly web experiences using vanilla HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Microsoft-first tooling. I built and deployed Eden Genesis to Azure Static Web Apps with a zero-dependency approach (no npm, no build step), focusing on clear UX, privacy, and demo-ready reliability.

Featured Project

Eden Genesis Local-first IFTTT-style web app · Azure Static Web Apps

  • Shipped a production web app with zero dependencies (pure HTML/CSS/JS) and no build tools.
  • Deployed with GitHub-based CI/CD to Azure Static Web Apps; supports demo-friendly hosting and routing.
  • Integrated GitHub sign-in via SWA auth endpoints (e.g., /.auth/login/github, /.auth/me).
  • Built a local-only “service identity” label system per vendor (no passwords/tokens stored).
  • Improved UX by replacing prompt-based flows with an in-app modal editor and vendor-specific input hints.

Additional Project

Charlie’s Toy Box Interactive mini-games page

  • Implemented “Clock it for Charlie”: browser-safe “NTP-ish” sync using HTTP Date header + stored offset.
  • Built responsive UI cards and lightweight animations; kept the page self-contained and build-free.

Leadership

  • Ownership: takes features from idea → implementation → deployment → documentation.
  • Product thinking: prioritizes beginner-friendly UX and demo clarity.
  • Quality mindset: minimal changes, readable code, privacy-first defaults.
